Vince is a 1980 graduate of Fort Defiance High School, Fort Defiance,
VA. In February 1984 Vince graduated from the Woodland School of Photography,
White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia.

Vince started his photographic career as a wedding photographer for a local photographer.
When an opening at the local newspaper came available in June of 1985,
Vince was hired as a staff photographer.

In 1995 Vince was promoted to chief photographer.
Vince is an award winning photojournalist with nineteen
Virginia Press Association awards and a Gannett Well Done award.

Vince's work has been published in countless newspapers,
books, magazines, the Associated Press, and Gannett News Service.

Vince is married to Lisa Jo Lerz, a well-known local cosmetologist,
and has a Fifeteen-year-old stepson, Cody Humphreys.
